La Revue Blanche (lithograph) by Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec| Notes about this product: | | | | Lithography is an art form based on the principal that oil and water do not mix. The artist would etc their art onto a plate that would be sumberged in a special mix of water and ink, the ink would adhere to the correct parts of the image while the water would be dispelled. This allowed for some very interesting techniques to emerge and some inceredibly unique pieces or art. This method was used to reproduce art in larger volumes when the technique was developed in the early 1800s rather than embossing or engraving.
